Underground Techno in Valladolid

Photo coverage of an event held at CientoCero Club, Valladolid. This project was born from a collaboration with RØXT, local DJ and promoter.

The goal: to document a techno night from the inside, capturing the raw energy and atmosphere of the club with a direct and honest visual approach.

Shot with two cameras a Fujifilm X100V and a Sony Alpha a6000 paired with 1980s manual lenses, the setup blends digital flexibility with analog character, adding texture, depth, and a distinct tone. The challenge of manual focusing on low light becomes an ally here: every imperfection adds to the authenticity of the image. The visual narrative revolves around light, movement, and presence. Strong contrasts, direct flash, and close framing were used to reflect the intensity of the moment, the rhythm of the music, and the connection between crowd, DJ, and space. This kind of photography requires intuition, anticipation, and adaptability to a constantly changing environment. It’s an exercise in rhythm and perception —the camera moves to the beat.

A personal event photography project with a defined aesthetic, executed with limited resources but clear intent: to capture techno from within, in its most human and visceral form. Perfect for brands, collectives, or promoters seeking a raw, narrative, and authentic visual identity for their events.

Fujifilm x100v + flash ext.

Sony a6000 + Yashica 50mm.
