“De paso por el mundo”. My first expo.

Photography as a journey of exploration and inspiration.

In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, I found something beyond photography in an old analog camera my mother had brought from Switzerland. It wasn’t just an object, it became an excuse to look at the world differently. Since then, cameras, emotions, and journeys have witnessed a path that, five years later, brings me here.

It all began in Valladolid, in my hometown, Cogeces de Íscar. That’s where the need to create emerged, to escape monotony and find meaning in the everyday. Photography appeared as both a refuge and a drive to explore beyond the familiar. Each image became a way to stop time, to seek inspiration, and to discover myself in the process.

This exhibition brings together fragments of that journey, but it’s not an ending, just a pause in motion. Because, in the end, photography hasn’t only been a way to show the world, but a way to find my own.

Valladolid · “The starting point”
This is where it all began. My photography started in Valladolid — experimenting with my friends, observing the everyday, and capturing the most personal side of my city. It was the first step, the origin of everything that would come after. From here, the door opened to move forward and start seeing the world differently.

Barcelona · “Another home”
Barcelona opened the doors to creativity and to a new photographic curiosity. Living there gave me the motivation to keep creating and exploring. It was the place where my passions converged, photography, design, creativity, and music. Thanks to both the city itself and the people who surrounded me.

Madrid · “A point of balance”
Between Valladolid and Barcelona, Madrid became a meeting ground. Halfway between home and creativity, it offered friendships that turned into family and an energy that always invited me to keep creating and exploring.

Europe · “Traveling to photograph”
Travelling through different countries across Europe solidified solo travel as both an excuse and a method for making photographs. Unfortunately — or perhaps fortunately — not every place fits in this small selection. London, Austria, Poland, Lisbon, and Milan are some of the most symbolic. Traveling to photograph stopped being an exception and became a way of life.

Bogotá · “The first big leap”
The trip to Bogotá, Colombia’s capital, with my family made me rethink how I understood photography. It was a turning point: it stopped being just a personal vision and began to take on a more documentary purpose — a way to show realities that exist beyond what surrounds us.

Malaysia – Singapore · “Back to reportage”
A long solo journey through two countries that might be unknown to many. There, the ambition to show something more to the world came back — realities that rarely appear in our everyday lives. It was also a reminder of what truly matters: people, those you miss most when you’re far from home.

Japan · “The beginning of the last journey”
In Tokyo, aesthetics took center stage again. There I discovered a world completely different from what we’re used to. A place where I could explore my vision and start shaping a personal style that reflects how I see.

Seoul · “End of the journey”
Final destination. After two months of travel, I arrived in a city that surprised me — a place where I learned that friendship isn’t measured in years. In Seoul, I ended a journey that wasn’t a closure, but a confirmation of what I want to dedicate my life to.

Sometimes I wonder if traveling really opens the door to that idyllic life that’s so often sold as success nowadays. I don’t have a clear answer for something so deeply rooted in our time. But after this long journey, through so many places, over five years that have passed in a breath, I’ve realized what truly matters.

Restlessness was the door that led me to photography. For me, travel is nothing more than an excuse to keep creating. Everything makes sense when I can stop and capture the everyday, when I find beauty in the simple and the near. Places are important, yes, but only as a backdrop to reaffirm what’s essential: what you value, what you want to express, what gives meaning to the way you create. Life reveals itself in every photograph that holds a piece of it. Small stories, fleeting moments, gestures any of us could live. That’s what I try to show here.

So thank you for stopping to look at this work. And thank you to my family, to my lifelong friends, and to those I met along the way, for accompanying and sharing this ambition that has taken me around the world.

As always, thanks for watching.
